Popular Illinois pumpkin patches include Bengston’s Pumpkin Farm in Homer Glen and Pumpkin Blossom Hill in Red Bud. The Great Pumpkin Patch is located in Arthur, and Champaign is the home of Curtis Orchard and Pumpkin Patch.

As of 2015, Bengston's Pumpkin Farm offers tractor pulled hayrack rides, a gemstone and arrowhead mining sluice, and pony rides for children 80 pounds or lighter. Admission prices for individuals three years or older are $9.99 Monday through Thursday, and $14.99 Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Pumpkin Blossom Hill features a corn maze, playground and mechanical bull. Admission to the pumpkin patch is free.
