Some lean cuts of pork contain less fat and calories than similar lean cuts of beef, but not all. Depending on the cut, 3 ounces of lean pork contains 120 to 173 calories and 3 to 8 grams of fat compared to lean beef cuts, which contain 141 to 175 calories and anywhere from 4 to 8.1 grams of fat.

A 3-ounce serving of pork tenderloin contains 120 calories and 3 grams of fat, while 3 ounces of beef tenderloin contains 175 calories and 8.1 grams of fat. On the other hand, 3 ounces of pork sirloin roast contains 173 calories and 8 grams of fat compared to 3 ounces of beef eye of round, which contains only 141 calories and 4 grams of fat.
