Is pork really healthy for you?
By Forinfos - 25/03/2025 - 0 comments
Pork is healthy to consume when it is cut lean and prepared with healthy oils, such as olive oil. Healthy lean cuts of pork include sirloin roast, tenderloin and loin chops. Pork consumed in moderation can help an individual to increase protein intake, raise energy levels and boost metabolism.
Lean cuts of pork only have 3 grams of fat, per 3-ounce serving. This size serving provides 18 grams of protein, plus 6 percent of daily recommended iron, 6 percent of B12 and 27 percent of B6. From a health perspective, lean pork and chicken are similar low-fat, high-protein meats, lending credence to the old claim that pork is the other white meat.
