Cancer.org provides close-up pictures of basal cell cancers, which are also called basal cell carcinomas, as of 2015. Basal cell cancers comprise about eight out of 10 skin cancer diagnoses.

The photographs on Cancer.org illustrate that basal cell cancers appear in a variety of forms, sizes and colors. The pictures show the lesions appearing as pale, pink or red, and raised or flat areas sometimes that are accompanied by one or more unusual blood vessels. They also depict larger lesions that ooze or bleed and appear crusty. The website advises that any lingering, growing, oozing or unusual mark on the skin warrants a visit to a physician.
