It may not be possible to recognize the early symptoms of ovarian cancer because they are often silent, according to Mayo Clinic. Even the symptoms of somewhat advanced ovarian cancer are nonspecific, and a woman may mistake them for symptoms of a benign condition.
When there are symptoms of ovarian cancer, they include abdominal bloating, weight loss, feeling full even after a small meal, and pelvic discomfort, says Mayo Clinic. The woman may also need to urinate frequently and notice chances in her bowel habits. A woman who notices these symptoms and has a family history of reproductive cancers should consult with her doctor.
