Is it possible to wash faux suede?

Faux suede can be spot cleaned by hand. Since the material is water resistant, using too much water can cause the the fabric to become discolored.

When cleaning faux suede, a plain dry cloth should be used to dab the spot to remove as much as possible. If the spot is dried on food or other product, a soft bristled brush can be used to remove as much as possible. If the stain is set in and dry, users can use a small amount of polyester cleaner. They should take care to remove any remaining product, however, as leaving it on to dry can damage the fabric.
