Who is the president of Belgium?
By Forinfos - 02/03/2025 - 0 comments
Belgium is a federal monarchy and does not have a president. As of 2014, King Philippe is the head of the state, while Elio Di Rupo is the prime minister and the head of the House of Representatives.
The head of the state is equal to the presidency in most countries but with limited prerogatives. King Philippe represents and embodies the nation. He sees representatives of other countries all over the world and has the power to choose ministers of the state. The prime minister, on the other hand, exercises more political powers and acts as the head of the government.
