As of 2014, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Lyndon B. Johnson are the two presidents born in Texas. President Eisenhower was born in Grayson County, and President Johnson was born in Gillespie County.

Eisenhower was the only president to serve in both World War I and World War II. He was the 34th president of the United States and worked tirelessly to create harmony during the Cold War. In 1960, Johnson was elected Vice President during President John F. Kennedy's term. After Kennedy's assassination in 1963, he was sworn in as the 36th president. He did not run for re-election and spent his time trying to restore peace.
