In addition, users have to leave their computers on to place or receive calls.

According to reviews posted on Amazon as of 2015, many customers complain about the return policy. Some state that they were responsible for return shipping charges when they asked the company to honor its money-back guarantee.

Customers also report that Magic Jack does not allow them to determine whether a specific phone number is available in a given area.
