What is a propane fill station?

A propane fill station is a location at which you can fill or refill your propane tank instead of exchanging it, as is common at many gas stations and other locations. Thousands of propane fill stations are located throughout the United States, including in some hardware stores.

Propane is also known as liquid petroleum gas or LPG. It is produced in the United States and is a clean-burning alternative energy source. Propane is most commonly used as a heating source, but can be used for fueling some vehicles as well. Several propane vehicles are available on the market, including models produced by both Ford and General Motors.
