What are the properties of a cube?

A cube is a solid that has six square faces of equal size that meet each other at right angles. A cube also has eight vertices (corners) and 12 edges. All the edges have the same length, and every corner in the cube has an angle of 90 degrees.
The volume of a cube that has edges of length "x" is x times x times x, which can also be written as x cubed or x^3. The surface area of the same cube is 6 times x times x, or 6 x^2. A cube can also be called a regular hexahedron.
