What is pure cranberry juice?

Pure cranberry juice is cranberry juice made from 100 percent cranberries with nothing added. Approximately one liter of juice is extracted from 1500 grams of cranberries. Unsweetened cranberry juice has a slightly sour taste and is best when diluted with water.

Cranberry juice extract is used in making cranberry juice cocktail, using roughly 30 percent pure cranberry juice mixed with artificial sweetener or fructose. Cranberries have been shown to have numerous health benefits, providing relief from urinary tract infection, kidney stones and cancer. Studies have also shown that cranberries can inhibit respiratory infections, protect against memory loss and contribute to younger looking skin.
