What is the purpose of a clutch?
By Forinfos - 22/03/2026 - 0 comments
The purpose of a clutch in a car is to transmit the torque, deliver the power to the engine, reduce drive vibration and to protect the drivetrain. The clutch is located between the engine and the transmission of a car.
The clutch includes a fly wheel, clutch disk, clutch cover, bearing and fork lever. It also contains a clutch pedal and operation cylinder. The clutch allows for the car to move smoothly due to the manner in which the power is delivered to the engine. A clutch is found in a manual transmission car and is controlled by the clutch pedal under the driver's feet.
