What is the purpose of a letter of intent for a job applicant?
By Forinfos - 22/08/2025 - 0 comments
An applicant writes a letter of intent to a human resources employee or a manager of a company to express interest in employment. It is similar to a cover letter, but the letter doesn't apply to a specific position.
While a cover letter focuses on the open position, a letter of intent focuses on the applicant's personal qualities and genuine interest in certain types of roles within the organization. The letter of intent typically includes an introductory statement, one or two paragraphs outlining the applicant's qualifications and skills, and a call to action inviting the reader to review a resume and follow up.
