What is a Rainbow Loom?
By Forinfos - 11/10/2025 - 0 comments
A Rainbow Loom is an 8-inch, plastic pegged loom that is used to turn small rubber bands into jewelry. The rubber bands are pulled across the loom and attached to pegs with a crochet-type hook to fasten the bands together to form bracelets and necklaces.
Rainbow Loom was created by Cheong Choon Ng, a Chinese immigrant who came to the United States to attend college. Choon Ng received at patent for the Rainbow Loom in 2013, although many copies and varieties of the loom are on the market today. The Rainbow Loom kit consists of the 8-inch loom, a hook and rubber bands in a variety of colors. The loom is targeted at children ages 8 to 14.
