What are rainbow monkeys?

Rainbow monkeys are characters from the animated series "Codename: Kids Next Door." They live on Rainbow Monkey Island and are able to change their fur color based on their emotions. An unrelated movie released in Denmark in 2011 also features rainbow monkeys as characters.

In the cartoon, rainbow monkeys are friendly and have their own theme song. A plush doll line of rainbow monkeys is also produced in various colors. Rainbow Monkey Cereal is also commonly seen in the world of the cartoon. The movie released in Denmark is not related to the show, and, by contrast, is a drama intended for adults.
