When will the redesigned Ford F-150 be available for purchase?

The redesigned 2015 Ford F-150 became available for purchase in late 2014. While the F-150 has been the best-selling truck for 37 years, this new model is 700 pounds lighter than the previous one, due to the use of high-strength aluminum alloy.

The redesigned truck offers the consumer the choice of a 2.7 liter or a 3.8 liter V-6 engine or a 5.0 liter V-8 engine. All trucks come with a six-speed automatic transmission. The 2.7 liter engine features a turbo booster to increase horsepower without sacrificing fuel economy. The weight reduction allows the buyer to add options not previously available with Ford trucks.
