How reliable is an Amana furnace?

According to user reviews on Furnace Compare, multiple customers report that their Amana furnaces did not require a single part replacement over more than 10 years of ownership. However, some complained of faulty control boards and poor customer service from the Amana Corporation.

Out of 149 reviews, 63 customers reported being very satisfied with their Amana furnaces, while 69 were very unsatisfied. One customer review suggested having the furnace installed by a licensed and reputable contractor.

Amana manufactures four different furnace series: the AMH95, AMV9, AMVC8 and AMVC95.
