Who do you remove deodorant stains?

Deodorant stains can sometimes change the color of a garment because of the chemicals in the deodorant. Deodorant stains should never be ironed, as heat may cause the stains to become permanent.

1. Apply rubbing alcohol to the stain

   Apply rubbing alcohol directly to the deodorant stain. Make a solution of two parts rubbing alcohol to one part water. Apply this solution lightly to an absorbent pad, and place it on the stain. Keep the pad moist. Do not apply rubbing alcohol to silk without testing the fabric for color-fastness first.

2. Flush the stain with soapy water

   Mix a solution of soapy water with a bit of ammonia added. Flush the stain with this solution, then rinse with clear water. Do not apply ammonia to silk or wool without testing the fabric for color-fastness first.

3. Rinse the stain with a vinegar solution

   Mix a solution of warm water with a little bit of white vinegar. Apply this solution to the stain. Rinse with clean water, and dry completely. Do not apply vinegar to cotton or linen without testing the fabric for color-fastness first.
