How do you remove scuff marks on high heels?

Remove scuff marks from vinyl or patent leather high heels with nail polish remover. You need a cotton ball and a soft cloth. After removing the scuffs, apply petroleum jelly to keep the marks from returning.

1. Wet a cotton ball

   Apply nail polish remover to a cotton ball or soft cloth. Choose a cloth that isn't abrasive but that can withstand a firm polishing motion.

2. Buff the high heels

   Rub the nail polish remover into the scuff marks. It may be necessary to apply pressure to remove the scuffs completely.

3. Apply petroleum jelly

   Spread a thin layer of petroleum jelly over the outside of the shoes to prevent new scuffs. Wipe off excess jelly with a soft cloth.
