How do you remove stains from laminate counter tops?

Most stains can be removed from laminate counter tops with baking soda, acetone or dishwashing detergent. Laminate counter tops can be sealed to prevent stains from sinking into the material.
Always wear gloves when working with chemicals.
- Create a baking soda paste
- Apply acetone
- Wash the stain
Mix baking soda with water until it forms a paste. Massage the paste into the stain with a cloth or brush, and then rinse it off.
Nail polish remover and other products that contain acetone might remove more stubborn stains. Rub it into the stain with a cotton ball or pad and rinse it off.
Another option is to wash the stain with dishwashing detergent and hot water. Applying stronger chemicals, such as bleach, is not recommended because it can discolor the laminate.
