Are there any restrictions on a Military Star credit card?

There are several restrictions on a Military Star credit card. To begin with, not just anyone qualifies for the card – only members of the armed forces. Then there is the issue of where to use the card – it is only accepted at the Military Exchange stores.

The restriction to qualification for the Military Star credit card requires that applicants produce either a military ID or a Common Access Card (CAC) before being allowed to commence the application process. In addition, although all members of the armed services qualify to apply, applicants must prove their credit-worthiness. Those with a poor credit rating may not qualify for the card. Retired members of the military can also apply for the card.
