Where is rhyolite found?

Rhyolite is found in Wyoming's Yellowstone Park, Hell's Canyon near the border of Oregon and Idaho, in the Andes, the Cascade Range and Missouri's St. Francois Mountains. A town in Nevada is named "Rhyolite" because of a nearby deposit.

Rhyolite is also found in near Catalonia, Spain, in the Vosges, around the volcanoes of Iceland and in the Thuringian Forest of Germany. It's also found in the German areas of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and in certain areas of the Black Forest.

Rhyolite can also be found in the rhyolite volcanoes of New Zealand, near Rjasthan, India and in the Yandang Shan mountains of China.
