What is the richest company in the world?

ICBC Bank in China is the richest company in the world, according to Forbes Magazine's list of the world's 100 biggest public companies as of May 2013. ICBC's assets totalled $2.81 trillion, and its market value was $237.3 billion.

ICBC's annual sales totaled $134.8 billion, and its profits totaled $37.8 billion. Coming in second was China Construction Bank, and the remaining three spots in the top five were U.S. companies JP Morgan Chase, General Electric and Exxon Mobile. The U.K. and the Netherlands each had a company in the top 10, but other than those two examples, China and the U.S. rounded out the top 10 richest companies in the world.
