The Roku Streaming Stick is a more compact version of Roku's standard video streaming device. The company markets the stick as perfect for wall-mounted televisions, as it plugs directly into a television's HDMI slot without requiring cables or other connectors.
Roku has been producing streaming content devices since 2008, when it introduced the Roku DVP for use with Netflix's then-new streaming service. The company has since introduced several different versions of its signature device, all of which come with their own remote. In addition to Netflix, users may stream content from several other services, including Hulu, Amazon, HBOGo and Crackle.
