What is a Roman Rottweiler?
By Forinfos - 20/01/2026 - 0 comments
The Roman Rottweiler is the same breed of dog as a standard Rottweiler, with the only difference between them being size. A Roman Rottweiler is a more mastiff-like dog with a larger and more noble stature than the standard Rottweiler.
Roman Rottweilers are said to more closely resemble the original members of the Rottweiler breed because of their larger-than-average size. Roman rottweilers average around 28 inches in height and around 120 pounds in weight. Extra-large versions of these dogs can stand 29 inches or taller. As far as coat color goes, Roman Rottweilers and standard Rottweilers look identical with a predominately black coat featuring brown patches.
