Royal Falcon Ware is a brand of pottery produced by J. H. Weatherby and Sons in 1891. The company was originally located in Tunstall, until it relocated to Hanley in 1892. The company initially manufactured domestic wares, such as ewers and basins, but later produced giftware and tableware.
The family-owned Falcon Pottery produced good quality earthenware, with each piece impressed with the Union Jack flag when the shop was still in Tunstall. The "Weatherby" marking or the "J. H. W." initials are seen on the products after the company moved to Hanley. The company stayed in production for over a century and finally closed in 2000 due to tough competition.
