There are no known side effects for drinking alcohol while taking Nexium. Drinking can slow down the process of healing an ulcer, however.

Nexium is a medication used for treating peptic ulcers, acid reflux disease and other gastrointestinal disorders. There are no interactions known between the medication and any food or beverages, including alcohol. However, alcohol and caffeine are not good for people treating stomach issues such as ulcers. Nexium should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Side effects include dizziness, headaches and dry mouth. More serious side effects such as skin rashes should be examined by a physician immediately.
