What is SAMCRO on "Sons of Anarchy"?

On the "Sons of Anarchy" TV show, the acronym SAMCRO stands for Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Originals. It refers to the original charter of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club located in Charming, California. Only members of the Redwood charter could wear the SAMCRO patch.

Created by Kurt Sutter, "Sons of Anarchy" premiered in September 2008 on the FX network. The series aired for seven seasons and concluded in December 2014. Kurt Sutter also starred in the series as incarcerated club member Otto Delaney until the character died in the sixth season. Kurt Sutter's wife is Katey Sagal, who played the character Gemma Teller Morrow on the series.
