What is SATA International?

SATA International is an airline based in Portugal. As of 2015 it has domestic flights within mainland Portugal and to the Madeira Islands as well as international flights to destinations in Europe and North America.

SATA International began in 1990 as OceanAir and changed names a few years later when it was acquired by SATA Air Acores. The current fleet consists of a number of different Airbus models. SATA International serves nine airports in Portugal and eight other countries in Europe, with most of its service going to the United Kingdom. SATA also has flights to Brazil, Canada, Dominican Republic, Mexico and the United States.
