What is a Schefflera tree?
By Forinfos - 28/08/2025 - 0 comments
The schefflera tree is a tropical tree that is native to northern Australia. It can grow to 100 feet, but different species are also cultivated as houseplants. It is also known as an umbrella tree or octopus tree.
A single schefflera tree bears up to 1000 flowers, which produce a lot of nectar, and are grown as decorative trees in mild climates. They must regularly be pruned to shape them, but need little maintenance in terms of watering or feeding. They are aggressive trees whose roots take over surrounding soil, as they propagate when birds visit them to collect nectar and then carry seeds away from the tree.
