What are some schools that train dental laboratory technicians?

The American Dental Association accredits 24 dental laboratory technician programs as of 2015, including those offered at Los Angeles City College in California and Erie Community College in Orchard Park, New York.

San Antonio College of Texas, offers an accredited program, as well as Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. Interested students can also attend an accredited program at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Dental laboratory technician programs generally last two years, and successful students receive a certificate or associate degree. After course completion, students gain certification by passing an examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology.
