What does the endocrine system do?
By Forinfos - 30/12/2025 - 0 comments
The endocrine system secretes hormones that are necessary for the body to function properly. These hormones affect functions such as growth, reproductive systems and stress levels.
The endocrine system administers hormones into the body through glands, including the thyroid and reproductive glands, which process chemicals in the blood and modify them for different uses throughout the body. Signals sent into the body by the endocrine system determine which hormones are secreted to perform necessary functions in organs and tissue. Diseases of the endocrine system may lead to hormone imbalances and thyroid problems, which can cause health issues such as fertility problems, increased stress and diabetes.
