What are the seasons like in Brazil?

The seasons of Brazil are the reverse of what the seasons are in the Northern Hemisphere, including Europe and the United States. Brazil's summer lasts from December to April. Brazil has a very diverse climate that affects seasonal temperatures, depending on geographic location and features.

Northeastern Brazil experiences a tropical climate and drought conditions on a regular basis. North Brazil is also home to the Amazon rainforest and the accompanying hot and humid tropical weather. South Brazil experiences a more temperate climate with cool winters, warm summers and plentiful precipitation year round. South Brazil can also experience frost and snow in high elevation areas.
