Who is the Senate majority leader?

As of November 2014, the current Majority Leader of the United States Senate is Democrat Harry Reid. However, Reid is to be replaced by the current Minority Leader, Republican Mitch McConnell, during January 2015, when the newly elected, Republican-dominant Senate is sworn in.

United States Senator Harry Reid represents the state of Nevada. He has been the Senate Majority Leader since Jan. 3, 2007 and has served as a Senator since 1987. Reid has also held the positions of Senate Minority Leader, Senate Majority Whip, Senate Minority Whip, Congressional representative for Nevada's 1st Congressional District and lieutenant governor of Nevada.
