"Coronation Street," known informally as "Corrie," is the U.K.'s longest-running soap opera and has been on television since 1960. The show follows the lives of working-class people in Weatherfield. It was filmed on set at Granada Studios for 53 years before moving to a new set at Trafford Wharf Road in 2013. The new set uses real bricks reclaimed from Salford homes.
