The Seven Stars Inn is located at 300 Ridge Road in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and is the home of a popular steakhouse. The Seven Stars officially opened as a public house in 1736, and the same building is in use as of January 2015.
The inn was originally the home of Gerhard Brumbach, who opened his doors to the public when he found himself boarding travelers for the night, as there were no accommodations for travelers in Chester County. The inn prospered and became a meeting spot for American officers during the Revolutionary War. It did not have a formal name until 1808, when the Seven Stars name was chosen.
