What is a Shiny Noctowl?

The Shiny Noctowl is a Shiny Pokemon that Ash encountered in Ilex Forest on the way to Goldenrod City when traveling through Johto in the "Fowl Play" episode. Ash's Noctowl is unusual in size, and it has adaptable eyes that it uses to see in the dark.

Noctowl was first seen in the "Fowl Play" episode flying to a birdhouse. Dr. Wiseman was attempting to catch it by using traps instead of Poke Balls. Despite Dr. Wiseman's attempts to capture the Shiny Noctowl, it continued to outsmart him and escape his traps. The Shiny Noctowl has unique psychic powers, and it is a capable aerial attacker and scout.
