Where should you go in Brussels on New Year's Eve?

The center of Brussels, Belgium, is traditionally a very busy place on New Year's Eve, according to the City of Brussels. Many people gather on the Place de Brouckère, or the Grand Place, to watch the New Year's Eve countdown.

Fireworks are shot from the Mont des Arts on New Year's Eve in Brussels. Many people gather at the Mont des Arts, the Grand Place or the Bourse to watch them. Brussels is also known for electronic music parties and festivals on New Year's Eve; in 2013, Brussels Electronic Music New Year's Eve hosted 80 acts in eight different venues throughout the evening. The city of Brussels also hosts webcams so that people can watch the festivities from a more private location.
