What are some yearly events on New Year's Eve?

Some popular New Year's Eve events are the Times Square New Year's Eve celebration, Nashville's Bash on Broadway and Atlanta's Peach Drop. The ball drop in Times Square is by far the biggest of these events and features a 12-foot crystal ball lowered to the roof of One Times Square.

Nashville's Bash on Broadway began in 2009. It features several hours of live bands and performances in downtown Nashville. At midnight, a giant music note falls from the sky and spectators sing "Auld Lang Syne."

Atlanta's Peach Drop is known as the largest New Year's Eve celebration in the Southeast and lasts all day and night. The event boasts live music, entertainment, carnival rides and festival food. Right before midnight, a giant peach drops into position to celebrate the new year.
