What should I dial to make a private call?

To make a private outbound call, *67 should be pressed. The asterisk plus the number 67 effectively masks the number to the person receiving the call. On the receiver's end, it displays similarly to private, anonymous or "Caller ID blocked."

This code works with all service providers, even on international calls. The number of an outbound call cannot be blocked if the person is dialing a 1-800 number, however. The code *67 must be dialed before each individual call. Persons can refuse to accept all blocked calls by dialing *77, however, there may be a charge for this service. To stop anonymous call blocking, the user can press *78 to cease this service.
