What should be included in a demand letter?
By Forinfos - 11/12/2025 - 0 comments
Demand letters contain a brief chronological history of the dispute, an explanation as to why there has been no agreement and any details that are important to understanding the dispute. Typically, demand letters are no more than a page long and always typed in a clear, readable font.
The purpose of a demand letter is to formally lay out a dispute for both parties and ask for a settlement to be reached. Barring a settlement outside of the court, a demand letter is useful as evidence with a judge to show a good faith effort to resolve issues before involving the judicial system.
