Why should people care about the environment?

People should care about the environment because a healthy environment is vital for survival. Without air or clean water, humans, animals and plants cannot live.

Keeping the environment clean and healthy is also important as it can impact the economy. As air pollution increases, crops and forests are impacted in a negative way which can become very expensive. Air pollution also leads to toxins entering the water sources and the soil in which food is grown. This not only damages the water and the vegetation, but is harmful to the health of humans and animals as they take in the polluted food or water sources.
