How do you sign a letter?
By Forinfos - 11/02/2026 - 0 comments
Sign a letter underneath the body by inserting an appropriate closing, such as "yours truly" or "sincerely," followed by a comma and a blank line, and then adding your full signature below the closing. If your signature is messy, type or print your name on the line underneath it.
When writing business letters, choose a respectful, professional closing, and include your email address and phone number underneath your name if they are not included elsewhere in the letter. For friendly letters, more casual closings, such as "love," "peace" or "thanks," are acceptable. When writing to close friends or relatives, it is acceptable to just sign your first name as long as your identity is clear.
