A tennis court is 71 feet long and 36 feet wide. The inner lines used to mark the boundaries in a singles match are 27 feet wide.
Tennis courts use the same dimensions around the world. Courts are required to be 12 feet from the sidestop or from any other courts. A 21-foot backstop is also required. The net must be 3 feet high at the center, and the poles holding the net must be set 3 feet outside the doubles court lines. The forecourt, or section of the court closest to the net, is 21 feet deep on either side, and the backcourts are 18 feet deep.
