What is a snowboard stomp pad?
By Forinfos - 17/11/2025 - 0 comments
A snowboard stomp pad is a metal or plastic disc placed between the bindings of a snowboard and used to scrape snow off boots. Sometimes stomp pads come already installed on snowboards, but they can also be purchased and installed separately.
Snowboard stomp pads help to provide traction for the rear foot when a snowboarder steps off a chair lift. This traction allows the boarder to get out of the way of the chair lift and glide to a place where he can put his rear foot in the binding. Snowboarding Essentials recommends that beginning boarders practice stepping on the stomp pad with the rear foot without having to look at it.
