Sonny Corinthos on "General Hospital" is played by Maurice Benard. He began appearing on the soap opera in 1993 and continues the role as of 2015.

The character, Sonny, was born in 1967 and entered a life filled with crime at an early age. His lifestyle led him to become a mob boss. His life of crime brought plenty of heartache as his first daughter and wife died in a car bombing intended for him.

Off screen, Maurice was born in 1963 and entered the world of television in 1987 with a role on "All My Children." He is married and has two daughters.
