How do you speak dog?

Verbal language should be kept to simple one or two word phrases such as "Sit," "Come," "No" or "Good Boy." Words are not the only way to communicate with dogs; dogs respond to the tone of voice and physical communication more than they do to simple words.
Hand signals are often used in dog training to coincide with verbal commands. Dogs can even learn to respond to physical commands without the use of verbal ones. Treats used as rewards is another way to speak a dog's language. A dog can learn to respond properly to commands by receiving treats as a form of positive reinforcement.
