Is there a special log in for students on the UVA website?

Students need a special login including a student identifier, or eID, and a current password to access the learning management, student information and email sections of the site for the University of Virginia. Students can find basic program and calendar information on the public pages without needing to log in.

The UVA Help Desk for IT manages all technology access for the school. This department requires that new students go through training before being provided initial access to the secured systems. As of 2015, newly admitted students must wait 72 hours after accepting an admission offer and paying tuition before being able to access the training process.
