How high is an Olympic diving board?

Olympic diving boards for men and women rest 3 meters above the water, which must be at least 5 meters deep. The springboard is adjustable for more or less spring, at least 4.8 meters long and a half-meter wide and equipped with a non-slip surface.

Men's and women's events using the springboard include the 3-meter springboard dive and the 3-meter springboard synchronized dive, while men's and women's platform dives and platform synchronized dives are both done from a 10-meter platform. Springboard and platform events have been included since the 1908 Olympic Games in London, with women first taking part in diving events at the 1912 Stockholm Olympic Games.
